A crisp and delicious lettuce salad with sweet mandarin orange segments, crunchy almonds, and red onions
1 pound Iceberg lettuce
1 pound Romaine lettuce
1 (11-ounce) can Gefen Mandarin Segments, drained
1 box alfalfa sprouts (3 ounces)
1/4 cup slivered almonds, roasted
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 small onion
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/3 cup vinegar (use gluten-free if needed)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
Cut lettuce into bite size pieces and combine with rest of ingredients.
Blend all ingredients for dressing and serve over salad.
