Delicious and moist turkey roast with a combination of sweet and savory flavors.
1 3-pound turkey roast
1 and 1/2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup Gefen Maple Syrup
2 tablespoons Gefen Honey
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon Gefen Paprika
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon oil or pan drippings
1 tablespoon Glicks Flour
1/2 cup white wine, such as Tuscanini White Cooking Wine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place turkey roast in a roasting pan.
Brush oil over top and sides of turkey.
In a cup or bowl, mix maple syrup, honey, mustard, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Spread marinade over top, sides, and bottom of turkey.
Pour one inch of water into bottom of roasting pan.
Roast turkey, uncovered, for one to one and a half hours, basting every 30 minutes. Add more water to pan if necessary. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
Remove string and slice.
If preparing gravy, pour any drippings into a pan over low heat.
Add flour and mix.
Add wine and let simmer until gravy thickens.
Plate turkey and serve gravy in a bowl alongside it, if desired.
