Diets These adorable matzo turtles are a really cute and easy snack that you can make with your kids. Let them help by breaking up the matzo, placing the caramel piece on the matzo, and putting on the cashew “turtle legs”. The best part about it? They get to eat them!
Manischewitz Matzo, cut into 2-inch square pieces
chocolate, melted
soft caramels, melted / caramel sauce (heated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit)
whole cashews
Place the pieces of matzo on a cookies sheet lined with parchment paper. Onto each piece of matzo, pour about a teaspoon of the caramel. Then place five cashews around the caramel, sticking out one of the ends of each cashew.
Pour the chocolate on top of the center to cover the middle part of each turtle. Sprinkle each with some sea salt. Set aside until the chocolate solidifies.
