Meatballs and Spaghetti

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lbs chop meat

  • 1 egg

  • 1/3 cup flavored bread crumbs

  • 3 Tbs water

Sauce

  • 1 spanish onion

  • 4 garlic cubes

  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes

  • 15 oz tomato sauce

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving

  • 1 package cooked spaghetti

Directions

Meatballs

Mix all ingredients and form into balls.

Sauce

1.

Saute onion till translucent add garlic cubes, saute 2 to 3 more minutes. Add rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower flame to medium/small add meatballs, simmer 1 hour, mixing every 15 minutes making sure nothing sticks to bottom of pot.

Serve

1.

Serve over cooked spaghetti and enjoy.

Variation:

For a healthier version, zucchini noodles (zoodles) can be used.
