Yield: about 14-16 slices
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup Gefen Unsweetened Applesauce
2 cups Beleaves Flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
6 eggs
pinch of salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/3 to 1/2 cup Tuscanini Chocolate Syrup
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a bundt pan with Pam.
Mix sugar, oil and applesauce well. Add flour, baking powder, eggs, salt and vanilla. Mix just until all combined, about one minute, scraping sides several times.
Pour most of the batter into the prepared pan, leaving about 1 cup of batter in the bowl. Add the syrup and mix in. Pour the chocolate mixture over the batter, and marbleize carefully with a knife.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes, until done. Let cool in pan, then turn onto platter.
Can decorate by melting chocolate chips and drizzling over the cake.
