A super creamy mushroom sauce that can be served over knishes or pasta.
bit butter
bit canola oil
1 small onion
1 box fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
2 cubes frozen garlic
1 and 3/4 cups heavy cream
4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
salt
black pepper
Melt the oil and butter. Add the onion and sauté. Add thinly sliced mushrooms and sauté. Add the garlic cubes and let melt in. Add the cream gradually. When the cream is hot, add the Parmesan cheese. Let the cheese melt, then let it simmer till it thickens.
If rewarming, add a bit of heavy cream or milk and adjust salt. Serve over knishes or pasta.
