Never-Fail Sponge Cake



Prepare the Sponge Cake

1. Beat egg whites, gradually adding sugar and beating until stiff.
2. Slowly add yolks, salt, water, lemon juice and vanilla.
3. Fold in flour and baking powder.
4. Pour into nine-inch tube pan. Bake for 45 minutes.
5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
