My family wanted something unique and original for supper/dinner. This was a great way to use leftover deli from Shabbos.
oil for frying
1 cup flour
1/2 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup shredded or cut up cabbage
1/4 cup pepper, diced
2-4 oz salami, sliced (or deli meat of your choice)
2 slices bread of your choice
1/4 cup Daiya Shredded Cheese (optional)
In a pan on medium heat, add 2-3 spoons of oil.
Fry onions for about 5 minutes, then add peppers and cabbage, and fry for another 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Dip salami slices into flour and coat. Fry them for about 5-10 minutes on each side in oil. Remove from pan.
Toast bread with cheese (optional) for about 5-10 minutes until cheese melts and bread is desired toast color.
Put salami slices, then vegetable mixture on top of bread and enjoy.
