You don’t have to like dates to love this no-blender, date nutty chews treat. Craving something sweet, crunchy, chewy, chocolatey? You got it.
1 pack Beleaves Dates, soft at room temperature
1/4 cup Mighty Sesame Tahini
3/4 cup walnuts, small pieces
1 (3- and-1/2-ounce bar) dark chocolate
pinch coarse salt, for sprinkling
Pit the dates, inspect them for evidence of insects. If clean, place them open side up on Gefen Parchment Paper, in rows, to form a square.
Cover the dates with another baking paper and flatten to form a sheet of dates (a rolling pin may be used).
Spread tahini over the dates.
Add nuts on top of tahini.
Break the chocolate bar into squares and put it into a bag. Place the bag into a bowl of boiling water until chocolate is melted.
Cut off the tip of the bag and drizzle chocolate over the nuts.
Lightly sprinkle salt onto chocolate.
Freeze, then cut into squares.
Serve frozen.
