Diets This simple orange icing eliminates the confectioner’s sugar by making your own. Perfect for those who don’t use manufactured products on Passover or when you’re missing that ingredient but need a simple icing! The orange flavor in this icing is not overbearing, and gives a nice orangy tang. Excellent to ice a plain pound cake or orange cake with.
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Gefen Potato Starch
1 cup orange juice
Combine sugar and starch in saucepan. Gradually stir in juice.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Cool.
Pour icing over cake and allow to drizzle down the sides.
