Ingredients: 2 large onions, diced (or use 2 cups Haddar Sauteed Onions and skip to step 2); 4 potatoes, cooked and well mashed; 3 eggs, beaten; 1 cup Manischewitz Potato Starch; 2 teaspoons salt; 1/8 teaspoon pepper (optional)

Mounded mashed potatoes present so elegantly in these compact mounds. The combo of potatoes and sautéed onions is one of our favorites!

Main ingredients

2 large onions, diced (or use 2 cups Haddar Sauteed Onions and skip to step 2)
4 potatoes, cooked and well mashed
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup Manischewitz Potato Starch

2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper (optional)

Directions

Prepare the Knishes

1.

Sauté onion in liberal amount of oil.

2.

Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.

3.

Form into balls or scoop and place onto cookie sheets.

4.

Brush with egg.

5.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Variation:

Bake in eight- x eight-inch or nine-inch round baking pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

I think you should be able to use 1 cup of flour instead.
