I served these for Friday night a few weeks ago, and let me just say, the kids and adults couldn’t get enough. Sometimes it’s the simplest of stuff that’s crazy good. Yields about 24
1 6-ounce (170-gram) package pastrami
1 8-ounce (225-gram) package cocktail franks
1/4 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons Pereg Hot Paprika
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon Pereg Garlic Powder
Preheat oven to broil.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and seasonings. Set aside.
Cut the pastrami slices into thirds. Wrap a slice of pastrami around a frank and insert a toothpick to keep it in place. Place into a 9×13-inch (23×33-centimeter) baking pan. Repeat with remaining franks and pastrami.
Sprinkle the wrapped franks with the brown sugar mixture. Spray well with cooking spray.
Broil on low for 20–25 minutes, or until pastrami is golden brown. Enjoy!
