Pear-Cinnamon Cake

Caramelized pears are deliciously sweet. The cinnamon will fill your kitchen with an irresistible scent.

Start Cooking


  1. Heat sugar in a large frying pan until it turns a very clear caramel color. 

  2. Add the pears and cinnamon and mix for a few minutes. If large chunks of sugar have formed, don’t worry — they’ll dissolve during the cooking process. 

  3. Let cool.

Prepare the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).

  2. Blend all dough ingredients in a food processor until a very soft dough is formed.

  3. Spoon into a greased, nine-inch round pan. Sprinkle the pear chunks on top and press them into the dough a bit.

  4. Bake for 40 minutes, until the cake separates from the sides of the pan.
