Pecan-Filled Baked Apples

Our family’s favorite dessert on a cold winter night is a fresh baked apple with pecan filling with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Directions

1.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

Peel and core apples, leaving about a half inch on the bottom intact.

3.

Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Leave a little bit on the side for sprinkling.

4.

Add your pecans to the cinnamon brown sugar mixture and stuff your apples.

5.

Place in a baking dish.

6.

Place a small piece of butter or margarine on top of the stuffing.

7.

Pour the boiling water to the bottom of the baking dish and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-45 minutes until tender.
