Diets This is such a fun supper to put together as a special treat for Chanukah or a great addition for any dairy party occasion.
Yield: 5 servings
16 ounces pizza dough (ready-made, or make your favorite recipe)
5 teaspoons Gefen Pizza Sauce
1 teaspoon Tuscanini Olive Oil
1/2 cup pizza spice (optional)
1 and 1/2 cups shredded cheese
1 box white mushrooms
1/2 red pepper, sliced
Sprinkle pizza spice over dough. Drizzle with olive oil and knead it in (this adds flavor). Allow to rest for five minutes.
Cut dough into three pieces and roll them into strings. Flatten out each string with a rolling pin.
Spread some sauce on the center of each string and top with cheese and vegetables. Close strings up and braid them together. Place into a loaf pan and drizzle some olive oil on top.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes.
Sprinkle some cheese on top and drizzle with some more sauce.
Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
