Puff pastry with deli is always a winner. Check out this easy appetizer that is super easy to make and looks beautiful, too! Don’t forget to add a little dipping sauce to bring it over the top.
Yield: 20–22 twists
2 sheets Gefen Puff Pastry
20 to 22 smoked turkey or beef facon strips
1/2 cup Gefen Sweet ‘n Sour Duck Sauce
1 egg, lightly whisked
2 tablespoons Gefen Sesame Seeds
sweet chili sauce or mustard, for serving
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Lightly flour a work surface. Gently roll out one puff pastry sheet. The wide end of the rectangular dough should be facing you.
Spread duck sauce onto the pastry, leaving a quarter inch of empty space around the border. Arrange turkey or beef facon strips on top of the duck sauce so they are almost touching each other but not overlapping.
Slice the pastry into strips in between the meat strips.
Gently twist each strip and place on a baking sheet. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Repeat with the remaining pastry.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the twists are browned.

Do you have to cook the turkey bacon first or do you use raw turkey bacon?
Raw! It will cook in the oven.
