Diets 3 tablespoons rapid rise yeast
1 and 1/3 cups warm milk (not too hot or you’ll burn the yeast)
2 tablespoons melted butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 large eggs
4 and 1/2 cups bread flour, such as Glicks High Gluten Flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla
powdered sugar, such as Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar (dusting)
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In your bowl, add your yeast, and warm milk, mix and allow that to proof for 10 minutes.
Add in the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt, and mix.
Slowly add in your flour until it forms the dough. Knead for about 10 minutes.
Cover your bowl and let the dough rise for one hour (Keep in a warm place. If your house is cold, you may need more rising time).
After an hour, cut the dough into 26 equal pieces. Create a menorah shape from the balls of dough.
Brush the menorah dough with coconut oil, cover, and proof for another 45 minutes.
Remove the cover, then bake for eight to 10 minutes. You want minimal color on your dough.
Remove from the oven. Let it cool for two to five minutes, dust with powdered sugar, and add jelly, chocolate, or dulce de leche if you’d like.
