Quince Baked Applesauce

Main ingredients

  • 4 quinces

  • 2 ripe pears

  • 2 eating apples ( such as McIntosh)

  • 2 cooking apples (such as Cortland)

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar

Directions

Make the Sauce

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Peel and quarter all the fruit.

2.

Place in a Pyrex dish, sprinkle with vanilla sugar and cover tightly with foil. Bake for one hour.

3.

Mash with the back of a fork, or for finer consistency blend with immersion blender.

Notes:

Refrigerate up to one week, tightly covered.

Easy (but not five-minute easy, let’s be real) and delicious! The only change I had to make was to bake for about double the amount of time.
