A comforting sweet kugel with a vintage – and definitely heimishe – feel.
1 cup rice
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup orange juice
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup oil
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar
1/4 cup raisins
Cook rice according to package directions.
Combine all ingredients. Pour into nine- by nine-inch greased baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.

Great variation to standard rice.
I did find it too sweet and too oily though.
The next time round, I cut the sugar in half and put in 1/4 Cup oil.
