Diets Every bite of this cake is chock-full of nuts and chocolate and is absolutely delicious! This cake will not last long in any household, it is that good! This cake can be made in advance and frozen. Glaze the cake once defrosted.
1 pound margarine
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
8 eggs
2 cups Glicks Flour
2 cups ground walnuts
1/2 pound grated baking chocolate
2 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
2 tablespoons Gefen Cocoa
2 tablespoons oil
2/3 teaspoon vanilla sugar
2 tablespoons Gefen Corn Syrup
2/3 cup Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar
4 tablespoons boiling water
Cream margarine and sugars until light and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Reduce speed, add remaining ingredients.
Bake in 10- x 16-inch pan for 50 minutes.
Once cake is cooled, combine all ingredients for glaze and spread over cake.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
