This is one of the most delicious ways how to cook club steak. This club steak recipe with steak sauce, mushrooms, wine, and onion soup mix is very popular with Kosher.com readers.
3 cloves garlic, minced or 3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
Haddar Kosher Salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon MSG-free onion soup mix
2 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, sliced thin
1 (10-ounce) box mushrooms, sliced thick
1/4 cup A-1 steak sauce
1/4 cup Baron Herzog Chenin Blanc or other dry white wine
6 club steaks
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rinse steaks and pat dry; place them in a roasting pan. Rub steaks with minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with onion soup mix. Bake tightly covered for two hours.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
In a separate bowl, combine steak sauce and white wine.
Remove steaks from oven, top with onion mushroom mixture, and pour sauce over steaks. Lower oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover tightly and bake for an additional 50 minutes.

Rib steak Can I use this recipe for Rib steak as well? If yes do I need to cook it the same amount of time?
what can I substitute a1 steak sauce with?
If you can make a homemade version or you could try adding another sauce (but the flavor won’t be exactly the same).
Skip wine? I can’t cook with wine for allergy reasons. Can I skip it or what can I sub in this recipe?

Yes, make sure it is fully cooled, place in a container and place a piece of plastic wrap on top them put the lid onto an airtight container.
