Ingredients

Deli Bites

  • 1 pack frozen flaky dough, such as Gefen Puff Pastry, thawed

  • 1 pack of kielbasa

  • 1/2 cup crunchy fried onions

  • 1 egg (beaten, for the egg wash)

Dressing

Directions

1.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.

2.

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apricot jam, ketchup, maple syrup, and mustard until smooth.

3.

Roll out your thawed flaky dough onto a lightly floured surface.

4.

Spread the dressing evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

5.

Sprinkle the crunchy fried onions generously over the dressing.

6.

Place the kielbasa at one edge of the dough and roll it up tightly, sealing the seam.

7.

Place the roll, seam-side down, on your prepared baking sheet.

8.

Cut shallow slits along the top of the dough (about one inch apart).

9.

Brush the top with the beaten egg wash.

10.

Bake for 12 minutes until the pastry is lightly puffed and starting to turn golden.

11.

Remove from the oven; slice fully through the slits into individual bite-sized rounds.

12.

Return to the baking sheet so the inside of the roll gets crispy.

13.

Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the pastry is a deep golden brown.
