Diets Smoked garlic can be used in so many different dishes. I like to spread it on bread, add it to a salad, stuff it in a roast, or use it as a burger topping.
Yield: 2 heads garlic
2 heads of garlic, peeled
3 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Gefen Salt
1 teaspoon ground Gefen Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Hickory wood
Preheat smoker with hickory wood to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a drip pan with a bit of water in the smoker to catch any drips and keep the air moist.
In a pan, mix garlic cloves with oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Smoke for five hours, mixing approximately once an hour, each time checking the water level in the drip pan and adding as needed.
