Diets I started with some berries, and then I thought, hey, how about lemonade? Next, I wondered what it would be like as a sparkling drink, and out came the most perfect, refreshing drink. But don’t take my word for it! Pour a tall glass and see for yourself.
Yields: 12 cups
1 cup frozen raspberries (if you don’t use raspberries you can substitute them with any berry)
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups hot water
1 and 1/2 cups bottled lemon juice, such as Gefen
3 cups cold or room temperature water
6.3 ounces sparkling grape juice, such as Tuscanini
2 cups seltzer
ice, as desired
lemon
lime
fresh mint
Add raspberries to a pitcher and mash them.
In a bowl, mix the sugar and hot water until sugar is dissolved. Pour into the pitcher.
Add lemon juice, water, sparkling grape juice, and seltzer. Stir to combine.
Add ice to your liking and garnish with lemon, lime, and mint.
