Totally irresistible! Whoever tasted these mmm-ed their way through and kept taking more. You are forewarned. They’re addictive!
Yields 4 and 1/2 cups
4 cups mixed raw, unsalted nuts (I use a combo of walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, and almonds)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Gefen Garlic Powder
1/2–3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
2 pinches ground cloves
1/3 cup natural maple syrup, such as Gefen
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Heaven & Earth Coconut Oil
1/2 cup naturally sweetened dried cranberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper and spray it lightly with cooking spray.
Place the nuts in a large bowl. Spray lightly with water. Add all spices and mix well to coat.
Heat maple syrup, water, and coconut oil in a small pot for one minute, until combined. Pour the mixture over the spiced nuts in the bowl. Mix thoroughly. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake for 10 minutes. Stir nuts so they’re evenly coated. Return to the oven for five minutes.
Add cranberries. Mix and bake for another five minutes. Mix one more time (nuts should be golden and slightly sticky) and bake for five more minutes.
Turn off the oven but leave nuts inside with the door open for a few minutes. As the nuts cool, they will go from slightly sticky to very crisp. These nuts can be frozen.
