Spinach is such a great vegetable, but many kids just won’t touch it. I created these meatballs for my kids to enjoy their meatballs and have their spinach too! For a quick tutorial, head on over to @mamaskitchenxoxo Instagram reels. Enjoy!
2 pounds ground beef
3 fresh cloves garlic
1 medium onion
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
1 egg
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
pinch of Gefen Dry Parsley
25 ounces of Tuscanini Pizza Sauce or marinara sauce
Place your ground beef in a bowl.
In a food processor, combine onions, garlic cloves, and spinach leaves.
Combine mixture into meat. Add your egg, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well.
In a separate pan, pour in olive oil and marinara sauce.
Shape the meat mixture into balls and place in pan with sauce. Fill empty marinara sauce bottle with cold water and pour over meatballs.
Cook for an hour and a half: first over a medium flame for 30 minutes, and then for one hour on low.
