Strawberry Smoothie

Arrow

You can actually put all these ingredients in your blender or Ninja cup the night before, and just whirl them together in the morning. So refreshing, and full of healthful ingredients that are concealed by the flavor of the strawberries. I love that it has no sugar! Your kids will leave the house with a smile when you hand them a cup of this. Treat yourself to a serving as well!

Yields 2 adult portions or 4 kid portions

Directions

1. Place all ingredients in your blender or Ninja. Process until smooth. (If your Ninja cup isn’t big enough, you might have to do it in shifts.)
2. This keeps in the fridge for up to 24 hours. If you plan on storing it, it’s best to put in a glass container or jar, covered.

Tips: You can add one tablespoon hemp seeds for additional protein and good-for-you fat.

Put your bananas in the freezer when they get to that overripening stage, and then pull them out as necessary for the smoothies.

Notes: The strawberry is the prominent flavor here. The other ingredients are just background notes that complement and enhance the flavor and texture. The parsley is really not noticeable. It adds a small burst of freshness, while promoting bone health, strengthening the immune system, and much more. It’s rich in many vitamins as well.
