This idea came about on one of those days when we had what we like to call “corona supper”—in other words, I used whatever I found in my freezer and hoped it would go over well. The results were outstanding!
10 Gefen Puff Pastry Squares, defrosted but cold
10 store-bought raw beef sliders
1 container store-bought sweet onion eggplant dip
1 onion, sliced in rings
2 plum tomatoes, sliced in rounds
1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a cookie sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Working with one puff pastry square at a time, place a tablespoon of eggplant dip in the center and smear a little. Top with a beef slider, one onion ring, and a slice of tomato. Pull the dough ends together and place seam-side down on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining puff pastry squares.
Egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 25–30 minutes.
