So easy and delicious, this Chinese chicken-style dish with battered fried chicken and mushrooms and bell peppers is going to be a hit. Perfect for Chol Hamoed or a special weeknight dinner.
1 and 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast, cut into chunks
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon Gefen Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 onion, diced
1 pepper, diced
1 can Glicks Mushrooms
1 jar Gefen Duck Sauce
oil, for frying
1/2 cup Gefen Corn Starch
3/4 cup Glicks Flour
1 and 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
3/4 cup water
Massage salt, pepper, and garlic powder into the chicken pieces and set aside while you work on the batter.
Combine the ingredients for the batter. Mix well till smooth.
Place marinated chicken in and coat well.
Fry in hot oil till golden brown. Remove from pan.
Fry an onion, a pepper, and a can of mushrooms.
Mix the chicken and veggies together and pour a jar of Gefen sweet and sour duck sauce over it. Let it bubble and heat through fully. Serve over a bowl of rice.
