I love dinner recipes that are double-duty: They have meal components that you prep once and use twice in the same exact meal. Because killing two birds with one stone just makes kitchen time that much shorter.
I showcased a few of these double-duty dinners a while back and got lots of enthusiastic feedback, including a letter from Estee Welz with another great double-duty idea, which I’m sharing here. It’s perfect for anyone seeking a super-easy supper that is also delicious and healthy. The idea is to prepare one mixture that you use as both a salmon marinade and as a dressing for serving.
4 tablespoons Gefen Spicy Mayo
4 tablespoons sweet sauce
generous dash of Pereg Black Pepper
4 slices salmon
8 ounces frozen green beans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking pan.
In a small bowl, mix together the spicy mayo, sweet sauce, and black pepper.
Place salmon and green beans on the prepared baking sheet and smear them with half the spicy mayo mixture (reserve the rest for serving).
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes.

Recipe looks delicious, but I am not familiar with spicy mayonnaise here in Israel
You can easily make your own! Just mix mayo with some hot sauce and you’re good to go 🙂
This recipe is not so clear. What is sweet sauce? What temperature do you bake it? How long?
Bake at 375F uncovered for 15 minutes. Sweet sauce is the sweet sushi sauce, otherwise known as eel sauce. I’m sure you could also use teriyaki sauce, and I’m sure that would be delicious!
The picture clearly doesn’t reflect this recipe. Can we get the recipe that belongs to the picture? Some sort of orange glazed salmon?
This sounds delicious. What would you recommend for a sweet sauce?
I would do a chili sweet sauce
