Submitted by spottedmod The MOST delicious homemade burgers EVER!
1 pack pastrami
garlic powder
soy sauce
2-3 pounds ground beef (I would use 3 pounds of ground beef, I always freeze extra patties and then they are ready to be grilled any time)
Worcestershire sauce
4 portobello mushrooms
salt
pepper
6-8 cloves garlic
2 eggs
3 shallots
bread crumbs
1 jalapeño with seeds removed
sweet chili sauce
mayonnaise
lime juice
Put in food processor: 4 portobello mushrooms, 6-8 cloves garlic, 3 shallots, 1 jalapeño (no seeds). Pulse till almost a mush.
Mix that mixture in the ground beef.
Dice up 1 pack of pastrami, and fry till crispy, add into meat.
Add garlic power, a squirt of soy sauce and Worcestershire, salt, pepper, 2 eggs, bread crumbs till it’s the right consistency, you don’t want it to be too slimy. If it is, add more bread crumbs.
Shape into patties and I grill them on grill pan
I make a sauce for them: sweet chili sauce mixed with mayo and a splash of lime juice
