Submitted by Devora Silver This recipe is for all those people who dislike anything even related to a tomato. It is meat stuffed shell with a rich savory mushroom sauce.
1 lb of chopped meat
1/2 lb of chopped chicken
2 celery stalks, shredded
1 carrot, shredded
box of large pasta shells, cooked
1 onion, chopped
1.5 lb chopped mushrooms
3/4 cup of red wine
garlic powder
mayonnaise
1 tbsp of cornstarch mixed with cold water
Sauté onion until translucent. Raise to a high flame and add the mushrooms.
When the mushrooms are golden, add the wine and the garlic powder. Lower heat and let the sauce reduce. Add the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce.
Mix together chopped meat and chicken with shredded celery and carrot.
Arrange the cooked pasta shells in a pan. Stuff the meat mixture into the shells.
Brush mayonnaise on the shells to maintain a soft texture. Pour the mushroom sauce over the shells.
Cover tightly and bake for forty-five minutes on 350F.
