Looking for a way to get your kids to eat a nutritious and filling snack during the long summer afternoons? Present this popular wrap combo as roll-ups! This one is my kids’ favorite version, but there are so many different ways to fill a wrap. Prepare your children’s favorite kind and have them ready when they come home.
3 whole-wheat wraps
8 ounces plain hummus, such as Sabra
1 (7-ounce) package ultra-thin oven roasted turkey breast
1 (4.5-ounce) package green-leaf lettuce
1 Roma tomato, thinly sliced
4–5 Israeli pickles, such as Haddar, thinly sliced lengthwise
Working with one at a time, place wrap on a clean cutting board. Spread with hummus, leaving a one-inch border empty.
Top with two to three turkey slices. Add a handful of lettuce and a few tomatoes and pickles.
Fold the sides in towards the middle and hold them in place while rolling the wrap tightly.
Place seam side down on the cutting board and slice. Arrange roll-ups on a platter and serve immediately.
