Arrow

Looking for a great party idea for game day? Introducing… taco shells, but completely reinvented. By making your own taco seasoning, you can tweak the flavors to your liking.
Heap on the toppings, you really can’t go wrong with this one! Coolest Mom Award included.

Directions

Prepare the Taco Seasoning

1.

Combine all ingredients. May be multiplied and stored in an airtight container to be used as needed.

Prepare the Taco Meat

1.

In a large skillet over high heat, brown the ground beef while breaking it up into small chunks with a wooden spoon. When the beef is no longer pink, sprinkle in the taco seasoning and mix well. If the meat mixture is too dry, add the water and stir. Simmer two minutes. Remove from heat, set aside.

Variations:

If you prefer to use chicken, dice two pounds of chicken cutlet and sear in a hot skillet with two tablespoons of oil and three tablespoons of the taco seasoning. Add water if needed and stir occasionally until cooked through.

To Assemble

1.

Crush each bag of chips slightly.

2.

Cut each bag of Doritos open along its side.

3.

Fill with meat and your favorite toppings and enjoy!
