At this time of year, it is customary to wish others a Kesivah vachasimah tovah, to be inscribed for a good year. Rabbi Spero shares a beautiful story about a lonely, incarcerated chossid who somehow sends a telegram to his Rebbe and the meaningful response he received. In essence, we send the Almighty a telegram. And we await His loving response.
