Is there a point in using the raw unfiltered honey in baking or there’s no difference than processed honey? I bought raw unfiltered but didn’t realize you mentioned not in cooking….
Hi Ranana,
Once raw honey is heated, a lot of its nutrients are lost so it’s pretty similar to regular honey at that point. It’s best used in no-bake recipes or drizzled on after cooking!
What is the honey not filtered from? I am imagining gross things in my mind.
Yes – it works real miracles! My daughter had a grill blow up as she opened it and burnt her face really severely. She applied honey for a few hours and was fine – no scars! (she followed up with a anti scar cream for a while afterward)
It can be regular honey — still works, but if you can get your hands on manuka honey ($70 for a small navy blue jar, sold in health stores) than that is most effective.
We’re so glad your daughter is okay! That must have been so scary. It’s amazing how powerful natural remedies can be. Thanks again for the helpful tip- we’re sure others will appreciate it too!
Nice! Btw did u know that honey works wonders on burns? It draws out the heat and heals burns effectively.
That’s so cool to know especially before all the pesach cooking 😉 does regular honey work too or does it have to be raw unprocessed?
Raw and unprocessed is best!
