Get the recipe:
coarse salt, for sprinkling
3 pounds (1 and 1/3 kilograms) second-cut brisket
3 pounds (1 and 1/3 kilograms) pizza dough, room temperature
1 cup Heaven & Earth Ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Tonnelli Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon hot paprika
1 cup dark lager or your favorite beer (I don’t have a favorite beer, but this helps make it really soft)
2 ounces (55 grams) liquid smoke (optional but recommended)
1/2 cup baking soda
2 cups hot water
