Knaffe is a pastry that combines shredded phyllo dough known as kataif or knaffe dough, a sweet cheese filling, and simple syrup. Get the recipe:
1 package frozen kataif (knaffe) dough, thawed to room temp
1-1 and 1/2 pounds grated mozzarella curd cheese
1 pound ricotta cheese
1/2 cup Gefen Confectioners' Sugar or other powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar
