As we kick off our Best of the Bungalows series, we're getting to know the participating communities that make bungalow summers so special. Before the fun begins, we asked each participating bungalow colony a few fun questions so you can meet the people, personalities, and traditions that make every colony unique.
Let's dive in!
What is the name of your bungalow colony?
Twin Bridge Estates
How long has your colony been around?
41 years.
What's a fun fact about your colony?
We originally had two bridges, hence the name, but then added a bridge and the name hasn't changed.
Where is the crowd from?
We are a big mix from all over, which makes it so nice to see each other each summer. Flatbush, Lakewood, Texas, Five Towns, Waterbury, and more.
How many units are there?
58.
How would you describe your colony to others?
We are a warm, inviting, low-key group. Many of us have been here since our childhood and keep coming back, while others have joined our family and come every year. We arrange weekly trips for the women, poolside luncheons, and constant games of Paddleball.
