Birthdays are my favorite. I celebrate mine from the beginning of the month until the end. Actually, I celebrate the whole year round; anytime I need an excuse to do something fun, I say it’s for my birthday. There is something about having a day where you can celebrate yourself and look back on what you’ve accomplished in the year that’s passed.

So when I saw these new Conettos, my mind immediately went to birthday parties. This delicious snack makes the cutest cupcake topper. Just make your favorite cupcake, then top with some frosting and these Conettos “party hats.” If you ask me, it’s more inspired for a kids’ party, but I can betcha adults will love them, too!

When I first tried Conettos, I was blown away by how delicious they were. They come in Milk ChocolateDark Chocolate, and White Chocolate, and have both dairy and pareve versions, so they work for any kind of menu. When thinking of what to do with them, I brought a bag with me to work to brainstorm on my break, but my coworkers devoured them before I even got around to it because they are so addictive.

I hope you love Conettos as much as I do, and don’t forget to send me pictures of your creations!

Watch how to make Conettos birthday hats below!

Ingredients:

1 7-ounce baking chocolate bar, chopped (white or color of your choice)

Food coloring (if using a white chocolate)

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1 package Conettos

Cupcakes topped with your favorite frosting (find great recipes here)

Directions:

Step 1: Place the chocolate bar into a small container or microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 15-30 seconds, mix it, and microwave for another 15-30 seconds.

Step 2: If using food coloring, add it in now.

Step 3: Mix the melted chocolate until smooth.

Step 4: One by one, dip the Conettos into the melted chocolate. You can use a spoon, but it’s easier with your hands. Once fully coated, placed on a sheet of parchment paper. Repeat with remaining Conettos.

Step 5: Place the chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30-second increments like you did with the bar of chocolate. Once melted, cut a little hole at the bottom of the bag and drizzle over the dipped Conettos.

Step 6: Allow them to dry fully before topping them on your frosted cupcakes.

I hope these make the birthday boy or girl feel so special!
