We recently hosted a contest that we called “2:22 Snack Duo” in honor of TWOsday, 2/22/22.

We asked you to submit your favorite 2:22 AM/PM snack pairing, and you did not disappoint!

We were so thrilled (and impressed) with all of your unique and tasty snack duos that we wanted to share our top picks on our site to inspire those looking for a great 2:22 pick-me-up or boost.

First let’s start with the winning entry- Peanut Butter Yogurt Popsicle by Leah Fine.

Note that this contest closed on 2/24/2022 11:59 PM EST.

  1. Peanut Butter Yogurt Popsicle
    Leah Fine
Just mix some peanut butter in your vanilla yogurt. You can add some mango cubes, strawberries, blueberries, even dates!
  2. Chili Lime Jicama Fries
    Daphna Roth
I use the TJ chili lime spice, but you could mix your own.  I also buy cut jicama from my local kosher supermarket (Cedar Market, Teaneck).
  3. Popcorn and Nuts with Twizzlers
    Shira Smith
Perfect combo of salty, sweet, crunchy, chewy …. Doesn’t get better than this!!
    – Olive oil popcorn (homemade)
    – Twizzlers
    – Nuts of choice (walnuts here)
As a side note, super balanced, too! Fiber from popcorn and nuts, protein from nuts, and healthy fats from nuts!!
  4. Maple Tahini Granola
    Lisa Sanetra
I make this recipe all the time.
  5. Dorito Veggie Nachos
    Yocheved Sharifian
    Yummy, quick, easy and delicious!
Just take a pack of Doritos, cover with Muenster cheese, then veggies, and a little more cheese on top- bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. Done! Serve with guacamole for a cherry on top.
  6. Syrian Crackers and Cheese
    Elise Lagnado
Kaak- Syrian cracker and Syrian string cheese is my 2:22 pm pick-me-up snack.
The kaak AND the cheese are homemade by me, which makes it even more delicious and fun to eat.
The carb and the protein is a perfect balance for a midday snack.
  7. Kiwi Chocolate Popsicles
    Rechi Berger
Just cut kiwi into large slices, dip into chocolate and freeze for a healthy and tasty snack!
  8. Cream Cheese Pesto Spread

    1 8-oz brick cream cheese
1 small jar pesto (I only use 1/2 jar)
    1/2 cup shredded Italian cheese
2 large Roma tomatoes, diced (OR you can use petite diced canned tomatoes-drained)
Layer all ingredients in the order listed above in a small glass baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until Italian cheese on top is melted.
    Serve with your favorite crackers.
  9. Everything with Hummus!
    Laya Freedman

  10. Swiss Crackers and Cheese
    Sully Katz
Unless I am fleishig, this is my favorite snack before I go to sleep. I must confess, it is before midnight! Whole wheat Hadar crackers with cheese, preferably Swiss, like myself.

  11. Trail Mix + Iced Coffee
    Chaya Rooz
My favorite afternoon treat for a quick boost of energy is a trail mix + iced coffee.  I use pecans, dried mango, sunflower seeds, and Trader Joe’s 72% dark chocolate chips for a sweet and salty guilt-free combo.  It works every time to get me past that afternoon slump.

  12. Cool Ranch or Red Hot Snack Mix
    Shoshannah Kashton
Mix together a total 10 cups of a mix of cereals:  rice/ corn/ wheat Chex/ Shreddies/ Cheerios. Sometimes I use organic cereals instead.
Add a bag of salted pretzels, sour cream and onion mini crackers/kosher Goldfish-type crackers, and if you like 1/2 cup salted peanuts and/ or pecans and cashews.
Put parchment on two baking sheets and divide mixture evenly between the two pans.
Melt 1/3 cup regular or light parve margarine. Add 3 tbsp no-fish Worcestershire (I use Gefen), and depending on how much spice you like, one to three teaspoons garlic powder, onion powder and seasoned salt.
For spicy mix, add one tablespoon Frank’s red hot powder seasoning and a shake of hot sauce. For Cool Ranch, add one packet of Lipton kosher ranch powder mix and desired seasoning mix and spread all over snack mix.
Put in 225-degree oven for one hour but toss, mixing thoroughly, every 15 minutes.
Let cool and it will crisp up and store in large snack/ cereal containers.
  13. Apples with Sweet Crispy Rice Crunch
    Zahava Schneider
This is diced apples with brown sugar rice crispy crunch. It’s healthier than chocolate and it’s soooooo delicious! It’s amazing for that stressful night when you want something sweet or really for any time! Don’t let the ingredients deceive you, try it and you’ll see what I mean!

  14. Cider and Pecans
    Basya Samuels
Hot cider (I make mine in a Keurig), paired with Sweet & Spicy Pecans from Trader Joe’s. Yum!

  15. Double Layer Lotus Cake
    RZ
I am attaching a picture of my aptly named Divine Double Layer Lotus Cake.
Best snack to give you a pick-me-up. It’s soooo good on it’s own, it doesn’t need any pairing! Try it and you’ll see why!!

  16. Cottage Cheese in Halved Peppers
    Malky Lieber

  17. Yogurt Parfait with the Works
    Gila Kirsch
Super healthy and delicious, nutritious yogurt parfait with strawberries, blueberries, sliced bananas, and organic peanut butter topped with cocoa and almonds!
NO high sugar granola or sugar added!
    Perfect pick-me-up combination for mid-afternoon.

  18. Cottage Cheese Sundae
    Leora Flaumenhaft
Who needs an ice cream sundae when you can enjoy cubed bell pepper & sliced baby cucumber topped with a scoop of cottage cheese with a garnish of seeds & craisins- my favorite healthy snack!!

  19. Crepes
    SR
For a truly irresistible late-night treat, nothing is as special as crepes + ice cream.  I simply pop two frozen Baker’s Bike Dutch Crepes into the toaster oven and bake for a few minutes. When it’s ready, I top with ice cream and drizzle with lotus butter.

  20. Scrambled egg wrap with a crunch of Doritos!!
    Leah Fine

  21. Quesadillas

  22. Cauliflower Poppers with Truffle Mayo
    Rita Landa
Defrost and drain a large bag of frozen cauliflower florets – dry with paper towels.
Prepare two freezer ziptop bags, one with three beaten eggs and one with Pereg Chili Crumbs. Dip half the florets in egg bag, close and shake well, then take out florets and put in crumb bag. Close and shake well. Repeat with the remaining florets.
Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray well and bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Then drizzle with barbecue sauce of your choice and hot sauce to your liking. Return to oven another couple minutes and serve with truffle mayo.
Healthy yummy snack any time of day.
