Hey, there! It’s us, the Sweet Sisters, Shoshi and Tzippi Newman. We love to bake up a storm!
The only problem is that lots of recipes are too hard for us, cuz after all, we’re only kids.
We found a way to make it easy and fun.
This week, we are making toffee bars, aka Bark. We love bark because it’s simple, easy, fun, AND yummy all at the same time.
*The recipe we are using contains peanut butter. If you are allergic, you can always use sunflower butter!

Steps to make it easier:
1. Clear your counter so it’s easy to work on.
2. Wash your hands (eww, you can't bake with dirty hands!)
3. Take out all your ingredients, which are....
- 2 inner packages graham crackers
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Gefen Creamy Peanut Butter
- 2 cups Gefen Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup toasted coconut
4. Take out all your utensils, which are....
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
- A knife, a flat spatula or an offset spatula
- Small pot
5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
6. Melt margarine, peanut butter, and brown sugar in a small pot. (You can also do it in the microwave or whatever way you melt stuff.)
7. While it’s heating up, lay out the graham crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. When the mixture is bubbly, pour over graham crackers, spreading across all of them.
9. Set your timer for 10 minutes and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
10. When done, immediately sprinkle on the chocolate chips while it’s still piping hot and spread out the chocolate. Sprinkle whatever topping you like right away – we love nut crunch.
11. Put the graham crackers into the freezer until the chocolate hardens.
Enjoy! Have fun baking!
See! We told you it's only about 10 easy steps!
See you next week for another "Sweet Sisters' Shabbat Treats!
