Yield: 24 servings
5 cups Glicks Flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon Haddar Baking Powder
1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil
1/8 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar
2 cups diced apples
5 cups Gefen Cherry Pie Filling
2 cups water, divided
Combine the crumb ingredients.
Separately, combine the apples and cherry pie filling.
Use microwave-safe bags in place of ramekins; prepare enough bags to use up the recipe. Layer some of the crumbs on the bottom of each bag, then fruit, then more crumb topping.
Knot the bags well and place them in an oven roasting bag.
Pour one cup of water into the roasting bag and knot.
Place the roasting bag in the slow cooker and pour one cup of water around that.
Let it “bake” on high for three to six hours. It is delectable and ready after just three hours, but the longer it sits, the more decadent it becomes.
Remove the bags, scoop the crisp onto dishes, and serve up a steaming fresh dessert!
