I followed the recipe and checked it twice (or five times), but my cake didn't come out like the picture. How big are the cubes of apple supposed to be? Are the nuts supposed to be 1/2 cup of walnut halves, or 1/2 cup chopped? There seemed to be an excess of liquid ingredients, and not much flour. The cake was very wet and heavy, and the apples didn't cook, even after leaving in the oven for at least an extra 20 minutes. It was more like apple kugel than cake. Where did I go wrong?
