Diets Be prepared for some special sharing going on. When we make this, one daughter likes the crust, the other wants as much of the ‘bottom’ as she can get, and so they split their portions… And the other sharing? All your guests will want the recipe. Trust us, we know…We share this all the time, and are excited to share it with you now!
5 baking apples
4 plums
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Gefen Oil
1 egg
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar
pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a greased oven-to-tableware nine-inch square or round pan, place peeled and sliced apples, then add sliced plums on top.
Mix all dough ingredients and cover fruit, going all the way to edges of the pan. (I find it easiest to make flattened patches of dough in my hand, and kind of place it on the fruit till I cover it all.)
Bake for one hour or until nice and crusty on top.
