1/4 package Gefen Puff Pastry or Easy Flaky Dough
4 apples
Tuscanini Apricot Fruit Spread or other apricot jam
ground cinnamon
Peel and core apples. Cut in half. Place flat side down onto cutting board. Slit tops as shown; do not cut through.
Roll dough to a quarter-inch thickness. Cut into three- to four-inch circles. Place one apple half onto each dough circle.
Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degreees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.
Place apricot jam in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Brush over apples. Cool.
Sprinkle liberally with confectioners’ sugar. Garnish with a cherry or grape and/or fresh green leaf.
