Babka Cookies

Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup neutral-flavored oil

  • 1 cup Haddar Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Babka Crumb Topping

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1 cup sugar

Directions

1.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

In a bowl, mix together oil and sugars. Mix in the eggs. Mix in baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Mix in flour. Mix in chocolate chips.

3.

Remove two-thirds of the dough. Add cocoa powder to remaining dough and mix thoroughly.

4.

Gently swirl the two doughs together. (Don’t fully combine.)

5.

Combine the crumb topping.

6.

Scoop out cookies and lay on a lined baking sheet. Top with the crumb topping.

7.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Notes:

Store baked, fully cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.

Not as difficult as it looks and so worth it because its so delicious. The crumb mixture can definitely be halved though. I got 28 cookies from this recipe but it really depends on the size of the scoop you are using.

These cookies were a big hit! As someone else mentioned, halve the crumbs. Overall though, great recipe.

really good! my personal recommendations – it doesn’t need the chocolate chips. and it makes way too many crumbs – i would halve that part of the recipe. But overall a yummy cookie
