While not exactly common in the west, barley tea is widely consumed in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese cultures. It can be consumed hot or cold.
1 teaspoon toasted barley
1 cup water
Bring the water to a boil, add the barley, and boil for about 5 minutes.
Strain and serve hot.
