2 and 1/2 cups whole oats (gluten-free if needed)
1/4 cup flaxseed meal (see note)
1 and 1/4 teaspoons Gefen Cinnamon
pinch of salt
1 and 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 cup Kedem Apple Juice
2 tablespoons Gefen Maple Syrup
1/4 cup honey
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine oats, flax meal, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
In a small bowl, combine oil, apple juice, maple syrup, and honey. Mix well.
Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix well until combined. Spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and stir, breaking apart the large chunks into smaller ones. Bake for an additional eight to 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool a bit. While still warm, break apart any new large chunks. Store in an airtight container.
Yield: 3 cups
