Enjoy a homemade version of barbeque sauce rather than the commercial kind. Best of all, you can spice it according to your taste.
6 chicken quarters
1 cup Glicks Ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons Glicks Soy Sauce (optional)
2 tablespoons Manischewitz Honey (optional)
garlic powder, to taste
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
Line a 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 centimeter) pan and place pieces of chicken in the pan in one layer.
In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.
Pour sauce over chicken.
Cover chicken and bake for one and a half hours.
Remove cover and baste chicken with chicken gravy. Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until golden brown.
